Philosophy

Recognizing that the conservation of the global environment is an important issue common to all humanity, we will work on conserving the global environment with the participation of everyone, aim to coexist with business management, and strive for harmony with nature.

Environmental Policy

Oume Electronics Co., Ltd. engages in business activities that are environmentally conscious, suitable for Ome City, which is surrounded by the beautiful flow of the Tamagawa River and rich nature. Based on the fact that we are involved in the production of electronic components, we undertake the following environmental activities.

  1. Through our business activities, we will work on energy saving, resource conservation, reduction of waste and environmentally related chemicals, and recycling, and strive to maintain the global environment and improve environmental performance.
  2. We strive to reduce environmental impact during the development and design stages of products and equipment.
  3. We will strive to prevent pollution and not cause inconvenience to the local community.
  4. We will comply with environmental laws and regulations, as well as other requirements and agreements that our company has agreed to.
  5. We set environmental objectives and targets, work on them, and review them every year along with our environmental policy to achieve continuous improvement of the environmental management system.
  6. We provide employee training so that all employees recognize the importance of environmental protection and are able to act in accordance with our environmental policy.

Environmental activitiesENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES

Education & Awareness Activities

In order to continuously carry out environmental activities, it is important to raise employees' interest and awareness of environmental issues, and we conduct regular or occasional environmental education so that they can always engage in environmentally conscious efforts in their daily lives. In general education, we aim to deepen understanding of the importance of recognizing and acting on one's 'roles and responsibilities' regarding environmental conservation, such as the basic environmental policy, environmental objectives and goals, resource control (3Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), and energy saving. For qualified personnel related to environmental laws and regulations, we work to improve skills through specialized education, such as external training for obtaining qualifications and energy-saving training, while striving to comply with environmental laws and prevent environmental pollution. Additionally, for new employees, general education is conducted before their assignment so that the environmental policy can be shared company-wide.

Coexistence with the local community

As part of our contribution to the local community, we have established Clean-Up Day (held twice a year) and carry out activities to beautify the environment around our company. Additionally, as a contribution to society, we accept social studies field trips from elementary and junior high schools in Ome City and explain our company's products and environmental initiatives.
