Approach to BCM

OUME ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD. advances BCM (*1) in order to cooperate with stakeholders, and fulfill social responsibility even in times of emergency.
For OUME ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD., BCM is not just emergency response, it is one of the important management policies. OUME ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD. launched a BCM Project, and the staff in OUME ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD. and each operation centers of OUME ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD. is involved in this activity. And the committee will be established for continuous progress.

The ’s BCP (*2) consists of three elements; system, provision, and awareness.For example, “system” includes establishment of rules and safety confirmation system, “provision” includes fastening of devices and earthquake proof countermeasure, and “awareness” includes BCP training, etc.

BCP Training's aim is that not only manager but also staff improve their BCM skill and acquire the ability to cope with unexpected situation through the training.
The training was carried out in a blind method which participants were not informed what would happen.

The events that could happen in OUME ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD. were set one after another. Appropriate judgments and actions are needed for participants.
In the training, they took measures for a break of outside hydrochloric acid tank, and a leakage of chemical by a fall from closet in clean room, taking into account the fact that only OUME ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD. in the uses chemicals such as acid and alkali.
They also answered inquiry of products from customer, and searched them in a dark room where a blackout was assumed, taking into account the fact that it usually keeps customers’ products.

It was the first time for OUME ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD. to carry out training from the view of BCP, and there were many voices that they realized how difficult it was to decide what should be done promptly.
OUME ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD. will carry out training on a regular basis so that the organization and the individuals improve their skills of information handling, of taking proper steps to meet the situation, and aims to let customers and stakeholders feel more relieved.
